President Tinubu today July 11 met with leaders of the Nigerian Labour Union on the lingering dispute over the minimum wage. The closed-door meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
After meeting with President Tinubu, the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero while speaking to State House correspondents, said the Labour unions insisted on the N250,000 minimum wage demand.
Ajaero emphasized that the labor leaders engaged in a discussion, rather than a negotiation. He mentioned that the meeting is expected to resume next week.
