Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have gathered at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Benin City, Edo State, to protest the outcome of the recently concluded governorship election.

The protesters, carrying placards and chanting slogans, demanded a reversal of the election results announced by INEC.

The protest comes in the wake of INEC’s declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okphebolo as the winner of the election.

PDP supporters allege that the results were marred by irregularities, including vote buying and manipulation at some polling units.
