Two British heavyweights, Anthony “AJ” Joshua (28-3-0) and Daniel “Dynamite Triple D” Dubois (21-2-0) go head-to-head in a highly anticipated 12-round bout today.
With a win, Anthony Joshua can become a three-time heavyweight world champion, regaining the title he lost to Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021. Meanwhile, Dubois hopes to upset the odds and make a successful first defence of his IBF title.

Dubois was upgraded to IBF world champion over the summer after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt, and he’ll make his first defense against British rival Joshua. ‘Dynamite’ had previously won the interim title by beating Filip Hrgovic in June.
However, the ultimate goal for both fighters is to win this bout and put themselves in line for a unification bout against the winner of the upcoming undisputed heavyweight championship rematch between Tyson Fury and Usyk, which takes place on December 21, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Anthony Joshua, born in Watford, won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. The 34-year-old boxer is a two-time former unified heavyweight champion, having held the World Boxing Association (Super Version), International Boxing Federation (IBF), and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) titles.
Since his defeat to the Usyk, Joshua has been on a winning streak, with four consecutive victories under the training of Tyson Fury’s former trainer, Ben Davison, and he would like to extend it today.
On the other hand, a 27-year-old boxer was born in Greenwich and became a pro at 29 but had been primed for the sport his whole life by his father.
Joshua vs Dubois Fight Purse:
Although Dubois comes to the fight as the reigning champion, it is the veteran Joshua who gets the lion’s share of the overall fight purses.
The fight purse has not been officially confirmed. Joshua’s guaranteed purse for this fight is £6 million, but it will rise once his share of the PPV revenue is taken into account. He is projected to earn £25m if the fight is a hit on PPV.
Dubois’ guaranteed purse is set at £3.5m, his career-high payday. His previous best was the £1.6m, which he banked after losing to Usyk last year. Like Joshua, ‘Dynamite’ will also get a share of the PPV, which could be around £10m if the event is a commercial hit.
Where is the Joshua vs. Dubois Fight?
London is set to host AJ against Dubois at a sold-out Wembley Stadium, the home of the England football team and a regular host of NFL London matches.

Joshua vs Dubois: What has been said?
“I’m in supreme condition, both physically and also mentally,” Joshua said.
“So, yeah, it’s good to be back. And I’ve been watching some of the old fights as well, just adding some fuel to the fire.
“Ready to rumble – reminding myself what I can do, what I’m capable of,” added the 34-year-old, who lost to Usyk in September 2021 and then in August 2022.
“I need to retain it and hold onto it,” Dubois said of the interim belt he was handed in June after Ukraine’s Usyk shed the title.
“It’s a great thing to have, but now I need to legitimise myself by winning this fight. So now I’m ready to go to war. I’m ready for a fight. It’s a resurrection story of my career.”
