Nigeria’s hope of winning a medal at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games was further dashed after Tobi Amusan failed to secure a place in the final of the women’s 100m hurdles.
Amusan finished third in the semi-final missing out on automatic qualification.
The 27-year-old also finished 9th overall in the final standings.
The world record holder was one of the favourites to win gold medal in the event.
The Ogun-State born athlete made it to the final three years in Tokyo.
She is however still looking for her first medal in the Olympics.
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, the 2022 world champion and world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, has failed to reach the final of the women’s 100m hurdles event at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Friday.
Tobi Amusan did not make it to the final of women’s 100m Hurdles. Amusan just about missed out on a place in the final, finishing 9th overall from the semifinals.
She gave it her all, she came close to making it into her second consecutive final at the #Olympics , but it was not to be this time. Tobi Express will bounce back from this setback!!
