Jay Z’s Patek watch worth almost half a billion naira stole the spotlight before kick off at Wembley.
Popular billionaire mogul and musician, Jay Z, made a grand appearance at the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Wembley Stadium.
SNOW TV Sports news earlier reported that the famous rapper and entrepreneur was initially slated to grace the finals this weekend, as first disclosed by acclaimed transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano.
However, alongside his presence, an exotic accessory worn by the famous rapper also stole the spotlight.
Photos that emerged from Wembley on Saturday showed the 54-year-old at the stadium in London, as he rocked a rare Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5271P ‘Blue Sapphire’ platinum watch, which is currently sold at a retail price of a staggering ₦499 million ($335,500).
This exquisite piece features a blue dial paired perfectly with the 80 baguette-cut blue sapphires (5.16 cts) across its case and folding clasp.
Jay Z, who owns Roc Nation Sports, which boasts an impressive roster of athletic talents, including Vinicius Jr, reportedly attended the finals in Wembley in what is believed to be as a strategic move to bolster the Brazilian winger’s chances of clinching the coveted Ballon d’Or.
Vinicius Jr’s stellar performances for Real Madrid this season have not gone unnoticed, and a triumphant display in the UCL final could serve as the catalyst for his Ballon d’Or aspirations, with Jay Z’s supporting him from the stands.
