The Federal Government has mandated all airline operators to provide refreshments and care for passengers in the event of flight disruptions.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, disclosed this in a statement by Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, on Sunday, stating that it has put in place machinery to monitor and mitigate the situation.

The agency mandated all airlines to provide timely flight disruption information to passengers to enable them to make informed decisions concerning their travels.

Also, the NCAA stressed that airline operators should provide passengers with care, refreshments, and other alternative measures in line with Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2023 Part 19.
